I am currently employed with an organization that has a two-year bond agreement. My initial package was ₹4.2 LPA, and after a hike in the first year, it increased to ₹4.5 LPA. In the hike confirmation email, they requested my acknowledgment that I would continue working for the organization for an additional year, which I agreed to, as I was under the two-year bond at the time.
Now that my bond period has concluded, I am actively seeking new opportunities. Recently, I was offered another hike, bringing my package to ₹5.5 LPA, and have received an email requesting my acknowledgment that I will remain with the organization for one more year.
I would like some advice on the potential consequences if I accept the hike but later decide to leave upon receiving another opportunity.
