Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR lady had my CV with her and she asked all these questions. Then, she asked me to wait for the technical interview in the lobby.
Tips: Prepare these questions in advance. Be confident

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This interview was conducted by the operations manager. He also asked my expectations from the company, financially and otherwise, and also a few questions related to the previous work experience.
Tips: Prepare the technical part strongly. If you don't know the answer, don't guess. Be honest.

Round: Test
Experience: Technical part had MCQs only while grammar part also had a few descriptive questions
Tips: Prepare well. Don't worry, even the company doesn't take this test very seriously. So, you can use your phone during the test to check answers online.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 40

Round: Typing test
Experience: Duration 2 minutes. Accuracy to be maintained 90% or more. Speed to be maintained 35 words per minute.
Tips: Practice in advance. Just focus on accuracy, maintaing speed is easy. They allow multiple attempts until you clear this, so, don't worry.

Skills: Communication And Confidence, Stability, Patience

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: after uploading i got a call within a week
Tips: objective should be clear and crisp. Education Qualification should be presented in a tabular form, work experience, project details and and achievements should be given from most recent to least recent


Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: interview was very relaxed. there were 2 people on the panel. both asked questions and it was not a stress interview, i was given time to answer each question
Tips: confidence is the key, answer should not be long essay type, important to focus on basics

Experience: I responded with a description of my third year engineering project. The interviewer was interested in knowing more about
a. how did we come up with the project idea
b. how was the work divided between the team members
c. what challenges did we face and how we overcame them
d. what was the final outcome. was the deliverable as per specifications
Tips: In my experience, interviewers are trying to understand how one works in a group / team. Provide examples instead of generic responses - these will serve as evidences to your claims. Try to include following pointers in your responses
a. what was your personal contribution (this is the most technical part of the response)
b. how did you assist other members
c. how did you seek help from other members
d. how did you take accountability of something outside your personal tasks.
e. how did you keep focus on the bigger picture

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I responded with a flowchart of a standard calculator. It was a simple design. The interviewer was more interested in knowing
a. how did I come up with a design
b. how did I make sure the design was correct
c. what are the limitations of the design?
d. what enhancements can I make to the design
Tips: In my experience, the interviewers are trying to understand your analytical skills.
a. how do you understand the problem statement
b. why do you decide on one particular design. are there any alternatives.
c. how do you break down the problem statement to smaller tasks
d. how thoroughly do you understand your design, with limitations.
e. does it fulfill your client's purpose.


Round: HR Interview
Experience: I had undertaken thorough research about the organisation, which enabled me to map my ambitions and expectations to the organisational values and purpose.
Tips: I highly recommend doing a background research on the organisation. It also helps to be clear on your expectations.
For example, 'I want to work here because the company believes in taking a client centric approach to deliver solutions, while maintaining high ethical standards. This way of work aligns with my idea of undertaking challenging tasks in an environment which provides developmental platforms for employees.'

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I responded with my professional ambitions in the industry. The interviewer is more interested in understanding what your objective is and your plan to get there.
Tips: Study the career opportunities and pathways available in the industry. Decide which one suits your goals the best. It is alright not to have a completely confirmed plan. You can also demonstrate that you are flexible with your plan and will select the best available option at a future point in time.

General Tips: Learn from the experience. If you do not get selected, there is always a next opportunity. Understand what the recruiters are looking for. Try to refrain from repeating your mistakes.

Funny Moments: The HR rep complimented me on having a unique name and asked me what it means. To which I had no answer. Quite embarrassing!

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: 1) BBG shipping has experience of turning around two companies and is one of the largest companies in this segement



2) City shipping is largest private company into ship repair and ship breaking but not in similar segment.



3) Sonyo shipping is one of the oldest shipping company and has various businesses related this. It is looking forward to expand in china and India and looking forward to expand and acquire some ship breaking company to create a low cost base.



Bids are:



BBG: 100% of debt for seven years 9% interest pa



City: 90% of debt for seven years 10% interest pa



Sonyo: 85% of debt for five years 13% interest pa



As a manager you have to take decision. Your senior has called up to look for bid of City and this will help to build relationship with city. The bank already has relationship with BBG. What will you recommend?

Experience: I can’t say I was 100% right in all my answers but I tried to simplify every answer. I knew my CV very well and was able to anticipate questions like why less marks.

General Tips: Through knowledge of sectors and other fin subjects. Was confident as I had prepared well for the interview. In GD one has to contribute 2-3 good points that was sufficient. There were people who remained silent but contributed even 1 good point were selected for interview atleast. In interview they gauge your fitment wrt role and their core values.

Experience: There will be 30 questions in each section and I would say standard of question was good
Tips: Time management is very important while solving questions. Your common scence and IQ is very important for solving questions specifically Quant's in cocubes. Don't panic

Experience: My favorite round. Very intellectual and exciting
Tips: Just say whatever relevant u know about the topic. Listen to others and give others time to speak don't interrupt others while they are saying something let him\her finish and then start. Don't speak too much just be appropriate
Duration: 15 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Very comforting keep calm and rock it
Tips: This are the most asked questions so prepare some good answers for it

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Very stressful and frustrating section they just try to break you down but just don't keep calm and answer what you know
Tips: They may ask some puzzles also they asked me and the response time should be quick in that

General Tips: Be confident keep calm and be smart
Skill Tips: Just be confident keep your posture right and don't talk too much talk whatever is necessary and try to have a healthy interaction don't get frustrated
