Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Prepare well and basics of btech mechanical engineering is enough

Round: Test
Experience: I appeared for PGET (Design profile). There was no shortlisting based on resume. There were total 40 questions (20 aptitude & 20 Technical). Total test duration was 1 hour. In aptitude section, questions were mostly from logical reasoning and numerical ability. In Technical section, questions were from SOM, FEA, DOM.
Tips: Questions were easy in both the sections. For Technical section solve previous year GATE question. For Aptitude solve www.Pariksha.co

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Those who cleared written test were called for technical interview. Interview process started with Tell me about about yourself. After that they asked questions related to M. Tech. and B. tech. Project. After project, they asked what are the subject that we have studied in our curriculum. They asked what Finite element Softwares I have used. Then they asked which solid element I have used in those Softwares.
Tips: Prepare your resume well, mostly questions from B. Tech. and M. Tech. Project. It's better if you know FEA software and you have taken FEA course. They mostly look for your approach to solve and analyze questions. If you don't know answers don't say no directly, try and recall those concepts, if you are not able to then say no. Be confident that is the most important aspect.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Those who cleared technical round were called for HR Round. It started with Tell me about yourself. Interview process was very smooth and it's just a interactive session. They asked simple HR questions. They asked about my family background. Even you are not fluent in english, don't worry. If you are able to converse and put your thoughts in front of them confidently, you will get through.
HR round is not elimination round, they might take all, if all of you have impressed them in both technical and HR rounds.
Tips: Do prepare some basic HR questions well. Confidence is the key.

Experience: Most of the students applied had been short listed for test.
M TECH & MS Machine Design , Thermal Engineering ,Aerospace.

Round: Test
Experience: Basic Qns were asked.....
Duration: 60 minutes
Total Questions: 50

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Good GD session. 6 or 7 members per group and around 20 mins was given.Every one got chance to speak and the GD was very peaceful.
Duration: 20min minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Qns related to project,
Basic Design Engineering qns,
Qns from our area of interests.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: This round of interview was called as HOD Interview.
Mainly regarding what is our expectation from MBRDI.
