120 Minutes

No. of Questions

7 questions

Experience

The Entire Test is held in HackerRank Platform. it has
2 coding questions (one easy and one medium)
2 output questions(medium)
2 Aptitude(easy)
1 general Computer science(medium)
it took me 30 min for each coding questions.I was not known that general question is related to bash commands

Technical Interview

Interview Experience

It's completely around the data structures. The questions are a bit tricky but once u think without any tension u can get through easily. The interviewer is helpful and gives u few hints if u catch them at the right point of time u got it.There are 2 more questions which I haven't mentioned

HR Interview

Interview Experience

It's Technical+ HR interview all the technical questions went around resume. it went around 45 minutes they are very particular about what you wrote in the resume.HR questions are general like

Resume Shortlist

Experience

Myntra had conducted a coding test on campus before the start of the placement season with 2 questions, one on stack and other on DP. The eligible branches were Computer Science & Engineering, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. I couldn't give the test because my branch was Engineering Physics. However, when they visited campus for interviews on day 2, everyone who had cleared their test was already placed. They looked over some resumes for interviews and decided to interview me, since i had some projects in Machine Learning and Computer Vision

Interview

Interview Experience

The interview started off with questions on my general interest in Software Development. The first round had two coding questions, i was supposed to write the code on paper. The first question was to add two numbers represented by linked lists - http://www.geeksforgeeks.org/add-two-numbers-represented-by-linked-lists/. They gave a specific input and asked me to demonstrate step by step in my code, how it would lead to the correct answer. I dont remember the second question, but it was also an easy one on linked lists

Interview

Interview Experience

I wasn't asked to write any code in this interview. They asked me some questions on Machine Learning, because of my projects in them. Then they asked me if i knew graph algorithms. Since i knew BFS and DFS, i told them. They asked the difference between the two. Then they asked me if i knew how to find the shortest distance between two points in a graph. I didn't know Djikstra's properly but i knew it worked on the greedy approach so was able to tell that. Then they asked me how would i find the second shortest path. I tried to answer it with the same greedy approach, but couldn't arrive at the complete solution

Interview

Interview Experience

They asked me to code one question which was on stacks, i don't remember the question, but it was also not difficult, and i wrote the code for that. Then they started to drill me on my resume, on every project that i had done, every miniscule detail

Overall Experience

Be thorough with Data Structures and Algorithms and also with your resume.

Interview Process

Test → Technical Interview

Test

Experience

First round was a simple round which involved 10 multiple choice questions and 3 coding questions on hackerrank platform

Technical Interview

Interview Experience

Mainly on topics like networks, data structures and algorithms, operating systems. The interviewers looked for people who have had prior experience in web development and asked questions regarding web development in depth too

Overall Experience

The one major thing that would give you the edge in joining Myntra would definitely be exposure to web development. Since it is not a part of the curriculum , it's all the more important for you to familiarize yourself with web development. In fact, a few projects in the same field would put you in a very advantageous position to get the job.

Interview Process

TEST → TECHNICAL INTERVIEW → TECHNICAL INTERVIEW → Puzzle Interview

TEST

Experience

This was a 2 hour round consisting of 5 mcqs and 2 codesThe mcqs were pretty much simple based on DS, DBMS, OS, OOP, CThe codes were as follows1> Given N leaves numbered from 0 to N . A caterpillar at leaf 0, jumps from leaf to leaf in multiples of j(j,2j,3j like this) ,j is specific to the caterpillar, until it reaches the end . On whichever leaf it jumps it eats a little bit . You have to find out how many leaves ,from 1 to N, are left uneaten after k caterpillars have reached the end, each with their own jump factor (j).All the caterpillars begin at leaf 0.example :N=10k(number of caterpillars)=3jump factors are 2 ,3,4then all the leaves eaten by the first caterpillar are (2,4,6,8,10)

those eaten by the second one are (3,6,9)

those by the 3rd one (4,8)so the uneaten leaves are 1,5,7output=32> Given a number n>0, you have to find the number formed by just inverting the bits of the number .

for example: binary of 5 is 101 ,inverting the bits we get 010 =2

    so input=5 output=2

    PS : merely ~n wouldn’t work

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW

Interview Experience

PI round 1A brief discussion on my projects and internships.A thorough discussion on whichever languages, frameworks,i had used in my projects.Code 1

Given a binary tree ,you have to invert the tree ,i.e. the parents would become children and the children would become parentsfor example Given: 1

/

2 3

/

4
output: 4

2 3

/

1 Code 2Given a set of numbers ,you have to find the max and the second max in minimum number of comparisons.Apart from the codes there were some questions on OS,process stack, heap memory in Java, Garbage collection,OOP principles and comparison based sorting

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW

Interview Experience

Code 1 : Given a very large number (10^7-10^9) and a small number (5000-10000).

I have to calculate the product. It was up to me how i would represent the large number.

Code 2:  Given a set of integers ,you have to find the largest number possible by rearranging the contents in the arrayfor example :

input: {,78,99,101}the largest number possible by rearranging the contents of the array is 9978101 .Discussion on DBMS , what is indexing? ,on which attribute should we have an index for efficient retrieval… what data structures are used for indexing ..advantages of B+ tree

When should we not use indexing? some basic questions on SQLPUZZLETwo boys A and B enter a tunnel . At 2/3rd of the tunnel, they see a train coming towards the tunnel ,the train is still at a distance from the tunnel . A runs back to that end of the tunnel from which they entered the tunnel,B runs towards the other end of the tunnel. Both of them just make it without being run over by the train . The train is travelling at a speed of 60kmph.Find the length of the tunnelHint: We need one more variable to solve this question. But that wont be told at the beginning,. We have to find out which variable that is

Puzzle Interview

Interview Experience

Puzzle 1: Given a biased coin, how would you take an unbiased decision .You don’t know whether it is biased towards heads or tails.
Puzzle 2: Given a cylindrical glass of water, how would you conclude whether it is more than half filled ,or less than half filled. The glass is not transparent and you do not have any measuring instrument. And you cannot spill out or add anything.Puzzle 3A man lives on the 12 th floor . Everyday he uses the lift ,comes to the ground floor and goes to office. On his return ,three cases are seen1> whenever he is with someone in the elevator he takes the lift directly to the 12th floor2>whenever its raining he takes the elevator to the 12th floor.3> on any non-rainy day when he is alone ,he takes the elevator to the 10th floor and walks up the stairs 2 floors.Explain the situation.Puzzle 4A and B are twin brothers. A is older than B by 5 minutes . A celebrates his birthday each year on 16th march whereas B celebrates his birthday on 15th march . Explain the situation.Apart from this ,he asked questions like ,what are my career goals, what do you look forward to in a boss ,how do you see yourself in 5 years ,etc etc (you all know it :P)

HR Interview

Interview Experience

This was CTO round, if you make this round…you are doing pretty good.
He asked a lot on what I worked on and asked questions relevant to that. Process thread, stacks heaps. A minor system design on component in their system. How they are shared between and trade-off. We discussed about scalability and challenge

Overall Experience

Process:5 technical ( 3 rounds+ SVP round + CTO round ) + 1 HR
I got almost the same package that I am currently getting (Myntra gave stock options, which I don’t have in my current company) but I am looking for a change so accepted the offer.
