Round: HR Interview Experience: In this round, Hr asked me more about my job role and job responsibilities and also scenarios where I have shown my skills and how I have handled it. Also, asked me to talk for few minutes about a given topic. Tips: Be ready to show case your talent. Be active and presence of mind helps here. Don't try to boast about your profile much.
Round: Group Discussion Experience: We have given global warming as a topic to discuss on and it followed the same pattern as like normal interviews Tips: Pitch up your ideas including facts and figures. Don't agrue with anyone and keep an eye on your communication skills. Duration: 15 minutes
Round: Operations Experience: In this round, I got in touch with concerned operations manager. She asked me more about the general aspects like why do you want to quit your job and what are your achievements during your work tenure. Where you ll in the next five years. What do you about current job profile and workspace. Tips: Be honest and don't show your willingness to join the org. Keep it straight and simple.
Round: Test Experience: It was not tough. Practiced lots of quant questions.Couldn't manage time for verbal. Overall, it was okay! I lost five minutes over one question. Tips: Face the verbal questions at the end if there is no specific cut off.Score in quant and then touch verbal part.Don't spend more than 2 mins on a question. Duration: 60 minutes Total Questions: 60
Round: Interview Experience: It was very informal and I told them that I got to work as a student consultant for a space mission when she asked me about the cool stuff I did here. I tried to impress her by telling her how I made use of my time here at IIT and how important it is to use the opportunities when they are at arm length distance. Tips: Be honest and impress HR. Try to smile and be active. They like active and positive people.And prepare for standard HR questions.
Round: Interview Experience: It was a pure finance interview as my resume as completely finance type.I told all questions without any issues and these are standard questions if you expect finance type profile. Tips: Be sure of what you put in your resume. If you cannot answer what's in your resume, you will be screwed.Try to steer your interview towards your stronghold and then make it impressive.If you don't know anything, let them know. It is totally fine.

Round: Test Experience: It was a speed Test. Question including all the aptitude areas English, Calculations, Mental Ability etc. Tips: Be a human calculator, you shouldn't do calculations manually. Everything should be done in your mind. Duration: 20 minutes Total Questions: 50
Round: Group Discussion Experience: It was GD of 20 students at a time so you can guess there was no time for everybody to speak their mind. But still in the end everyone was a given chance so that they can speak. I was given the chance to speak in the end and I utilized every bit of it. I used snapdeal (the company in which I was appearing) in the illustrations and some good management keywords which make my impression very good in-front of the Invigilator. Tips: You don't need to be mind blowing in English, all you need is the content. Don't speak in layman language, try you use some big words and always say all the good things for that company in illustrations. Try to avoid using competitor of the company. Duration: 10min. minutes
General Tips: 1. Dont take written test lightly. Prepare as much as you can. 2. Join any CAT preparation websites or coaching. 3. Prepare for GDs with groups other than yours regularly. Skills: Aptitude, Puzzle solving, SQL, R language College Name: Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee Motivation: Big Package Good profile, the one I was looking to enter into. Had a great internship their, so kind of PPO Funny Moments: How I was almost out of the process?? First they announced a cut off 41 out of 50 in their written test. About 259 students were shortlisted. Just before the GDs were to be held in the evening of Day 2, a notice appears that cut off has been revised and new cut off is 47. Only 58 students were there in the new shortlist. Imagine other 200 students, all suited with preparations done, were asked to leave the scene !! I was very serious about working in an e-commerce company. Guess what, I had 42 marks in the test.We were walking back to the hostel, clicked some pics thinking at-least wore the suit for first time and abusing the company blah blah blah.But then came the news just half an hour after that and Luckily some guys convinced the Snapdeal's Placement coordinator and yes we were back in the race, actually won the race :D
