What would you do?
Accenture Energy Practice is looking for an Energy Analyst to join our rapidly growing team located in Hyderabad, India. In this role you will be working on energy supply management programs, India & global energy procurement and supporting our energy supply and demand specialists from our US, Europe offices. This position will be responsible for sourcing electricity for a range of commercial and industrial clients. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, RFP development, market assessment, risk management, strategy development, contract negotiation, contract management, and product management. The Energy Analyst will also communicate with supplier partners, utilities, local distribution companies, and public utility commissions to gather timely, accurate, and complete energy market intelligence and maintain required client reporting tools for procurement team. In this role, you will work and understand when & how to use a request for proposal (price and non-price factors) and RFQ (price only) and how to develop, execute and analyze the results. You will collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative information to assess, screen, and select suppliers. Inventory performance will need to be improved through flexible fulfillment and available-to-promise methods. In this role, you may also have to work on the COUPA sourcing module.

What are we looking for?

Experience or knowledge in US energy market would be preferred

Knowledge on energy market policies & regulation, power market design & development (US market knowledge preferred)

1-3 years of experience in power Trading/power exchange platforms

Experience or knowledge in utility bill analysis

Minimum Bachelor's degree, Master Degree in Energy Trading, Energy Management preferred

Excellent communications, analytical & report writing skillsEnergy Procurement (Electricity/Natural Gas in India/International markets) Roles and Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the core teams from the Energy Supply Management Practice.

Support Supply Side teams for sourcing of electricity and natural gas for a range of commercial and industrial clients.

Support teams in market research, market assessment, risk management, strategy development, contract management, and product management.

Communicate with supplier partners, utilities, local distribution companies, and public utility commissions in US to gather timely, accurate, and complete energy market intelligence and maintain required client reporting tools for procurement team.

Research energy rates/tariffs in regulated, deregulated energy markets in the US.

Leverage Accenture's knowledge base to analyze client energy rates/use to identify savings opportunities.

Gain experience developing energy savings estimates for rate reduction projects.

Work with US public utilities and technical representatives.

Collaborate with the core team of a fast-growing Business Unit to extend and improve existing processes, develop new products and services, and support business unit strategic planningQualificationsBE
