At ADP, we see design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a highly creative Visual Designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations. Our ideal candidate should have knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders and juggling competing priorities, the candidate should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects and conveys the essence of the message. Candidate will be fully responsible for exploring new ways of enhancing and maintaining the strong story-telling culture at ADP Finance.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project while staying true to the approved framework and visual design guidelines laid down by our Corporate Brand Marketing department. The interview process will comprise a few real-world mini assignments that you will have to submit as part of your evaluation process. A portfolio of your work, if available, will be highly anticipated and may lead to a favourable selection.

In this position, youll be an individual contributor and be part of a three-member team that will be fully responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of design ideas, and communication that goes out of the Global Finance center in India. The role will involve hands-on effort in designing the collateral and various forms of communication for associates and for leadership. In addition, there may be odd instances, wherein, you will be stretched and expected to support a larger global team to resolve design issues and help with real-time workarounds or fixes for the same. You will also be asked to provide consultative input by using a big picture view of client and associate communication and to create new ways of engaging associates through technology and tools that would motivate associates to focus on the team and the center to succeed.

With the above goals in mind, the Visual Designer will also be responsible for conducting field observations and participating in field activities such as: side-by-side calls and roundtables across various functional areas of the Finance organization to understand the ideas being discussed and validate the field relevance of the content you create to ensure that messaging is delivered as planned, effective and impactful. The candidate will also be expected to aid with the visual representation of the analytical data collected from various learning modules, trainings and initiatives being run; and to provide a clear understanding and communication of data to aid the ADP Finance leadership in making sound decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• Requirements. Engage with members of the organizations senior leadership to partner and drive strategic growth, associate retention, and development by packaging the entire communication and messaging in an effective and impactful way. Develop and maintain appropriate internal processes and protocols for effective execution of design support for the organization. Provide effective management and strategic leadership on Visual Design to the ADP Finance team. Build associate and organizational excellence in support of needs of the Global Finance business unit and functions therein, to align with the ADP Branding guidelines. Demonstrate knowledge and competence of design techniques in a variety of scenarios and situations.
• Relationships. Determine Leadership needs and workload allocation within your team. Motivate the team to together achieve individual and team goals by setting performance objectives and standards, monitoring, evaluating, and discussing outcomes. You'll create strong alliances and provide feedback to your partners including recommended solutions and overall design and brand improvements. You may additionally be expected to influence the team that supports Branding and Corporate Marketing to align to dynamically changing business goals and objectives by being actively involved in Design user groups and forging a strong network of relationships across various levels of the organization.
• Measurement. Ensure that all collateral delivered out of the Global Finance center is compliant to corporate ADP brand guidelines and design principles. Youll be expected to create layouts that reinforce ADP brands style or voice through its visual touchpoints. Consult with and communicate with senior management as well as Corporate Marketing on the effectiveness of delivery, the variety of design resources and solutions to ensure that business objectives are being met. Perform administrative responsibilities such as Document Management System for all collateral, satisfaction survey distribution, completion of monthly status reports, and time tracking responsibilities for yourself and your team.
• Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be in the midst of a corporate video, developing walkthroughs for an idea presentation, cleaning up a tool demo or sprucing up a PowerPoint presentation for a Senior Leadership visit. You will have to scope, collaborate, communicate, and execute on custom facilitation requests like newsletters and e-mailers with internal and external business partners. Best part? • Presentations. You’ll be expected to effectively engage with Finance leadership to play a key role in reinforcing key messages. You'll speak to internal stakeholders to communicate and defend ideas while answering critical questions and iterate whenever there is constructive feedback. You will also be expected to manage the communication and marketing processes necessary to effectively announce and reinforce the brand offering and image of the Global Finance delivery center.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

To be able to succeed as a Visual Designer with ADP, you will be expected to show that you can realize the purpose, objectives, and obligations of the role by meeting certain requirements, including qualities, qualifications, experience, etc.

• Education: Applicants for the role are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline.
• Knowledge: It is vital that the applicant possess prior knowledge as well as capabilities in a variety of design tools. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Product Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) is essential. Proven proficiency on products and processes used by the Visual Design industry will be highly desirable. The applicant is expected to be up-to-date and abreast of the latest industry trends in regard to design and communication and eventually pick up and gain proficiency on ADP’s internal tools and product suites.
• Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience (academic and professional) with design software. Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Collaborative skills: The candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Prior experience successfully interacting with multiple business lines and divisions in a global environment.
• Communication skills: The role is required to frequently interact with senior Finance leadership (Director and above) and it is imperative that the candidate demonstrate excellent written as well as verbal communication skills for effective presentation of both technical and non-technical information to audience from a varying background
• Organizational skills: It is essential that the candidate is a highly organized individual with an eye for detail and the ability to effectively prioritize workload and execute tasks successfully even when faced within tight deadlines. Project management, facilitation and presentation skills required.
• Specialized skills: Firm grasp of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, Premier Pro. Experience with other design/wireframing software may be required. A strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition and layout principles.
• Apt for learning: The technological environment is highly dynamic; hence it is important that the candidate is a continual learner, willing to share and grow the knowledge of those around them and is abreast with industry changes and improvements.
