Solution Architect - AWS Cloud (10-13 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Lead the architecture and design of cloud solutions using AWS and Databricks for enterprise data platforms.

- Design and implement landing zones on AWS, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure for greenfield data migration projects to Databricks.

- Ensure best practices are followed in AWS security, governance, and data management while working with Databricks.

- Architect end-to-end cloud data solutions, focusing on migrating on-premises data platforms to AWS Databricks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data migration and cloud adoption, ensuring scalability and

performance.

- Optimize data workflows and integration patterns between Databricks and AWS services like S3 Glue, Redshift, and EMR.

- Provide expertise in AWS infrastructure and security to design robust and compliant landing zones for enterprise clients.

- Implement security best practices, including data encryption, IAM policies, VPC setup, and networking configurations for secure cloud environments.

- Work with the sales and marketing teams to contribute to pre-sales efforts, including solution scoping, proposal development, and technical presentations.

- Provide technical guidance in client discussions, positioning AWS and Databricks as optimal solutions for data-driven initiatives.

- Assist with crafting proof-of-concept (POC) designs and participate in client demos and workshops.

- Serve as a part-time Technical Architect on selected projects, offering expertise in AWS Databricks design and cloud infrastructure.

- Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure that the technical design aligns with client needs and project objectives.

- Guide project implementation teams, review architecture designs and provide ongoing technical oversight during project execution.

- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and solution architects to deliver robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.

- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for AWS and Databricks ecosystem, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Requirements :

- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in AWS solution architecture, with a strong focus on the Databricks ecosystem and cloud data platforms.

- Experience with setting up AWS Landing Zones is highly preferred.

- Deep knowledge of AWS services such as EC2 S3 RDS, Redshift, VPC, Glue, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.

- Extensive experience in working with Databricks, including architecture, Spark optimization, data lakes, and ETL pipelines.

- Strong knowledge of AWS security, IAM policies, and data governance frameworks for creating compliant cloud environments.

- Proven experience in pre-sales activities such as solution scoping, proposal writing, and technical presentations.

- Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture in projects, ensuring alignment with both client requirements and best practices.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (highly preferred).

- Databricks Certified Associate Developer or Solutions Architect.
