Principal Architect - MERN Stack (15-20 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Architect MERN Stack to lead the design and development of a core product for one of our esteemed clients. This role demands a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on execution. You will play a critical role in shaping the product architecture, driving modernization initiatives, and ensuring a scalable, high-performing, and user-centric application.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end architectural design of a scalable and high-performance enterprise product.

- Modernize the Radiology Worklist Programs user interface by developing a Micro Frontend (MFE) using React.js.

- Integrate new React-based MFE components with existing Angular modules, ensuring seamless functionality and a unified design experience using Material-UI (MUI).

- Refactor and enhance Node.js-based backend services to support advanced features, including customizable user-defined worklists.

- Evaluate and compare AlloyDB vs. PostgreSQL to identify the optimal solution for analytics-driven use cases.

- Redesign and optimize the existing PostgreSQL schema to improve data efficiency and support new functionalities.

- Architect and implement a caching layer using Elasticsearch to ensure performance optimization and scalability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (BE/BTech/ME/MTech/BSc/MSc) or a related technical field.

- 1520 years of total software development experience, including significant time in full-stack and architecture-level roles.

Proven expertise in :

- Node.js (backend service architecture and development)

- React.js (frontend framework, Micro Frontends)

- PostgreSQL (schema design, optimization)

- Experience with UI/UX best practices and strong user experience orientation.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Technical certifications across relevant technologies.

- Experience working with or evaluating AlloyDB.

- Familiarity with Material-UI (MUI) and Angular integration.

- Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance tuning with Elasticsearch.

- Prior experience in healthcare domain applications, particularly imaging or radiology workflows, is a plus.
