Senior Design Engineer/Lead Engineer- Autodesk Inventor/6-12 years

Role & responsibilities

• Design mechanical components using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor).
• Develop detailed 2D drawings with correct tolerances and GD&T.
• Prepare complete Bill of Materials (BOMs) and product documentation.
• Participate in and sometimes lead design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
• Interface with CAE teams for simulation and testing inputs and improvements.
• Work with sourcing to support global supplier selection and manufacturability analysis.
• Analyse design performance, durability, and manufacturability.
• Perform design calculations and assist in simulations to validate designs.
• Support prototyping and validation stages; review test results and modify designs accordingly.
• Ensure all designs comply with CE, ATEX, 3A, EHEDG, and FDA standards.
• Integrate documentation into PDM/ERP platforms like Vault and SAP.
• Support creation of multilingual technical manuals and certifications.
• Assist in training and guiding junior engineers.
• Review and approve their models, drawings, and documentation

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in rotating machinery or fluid dynamics preferred.
• Strong CAD skills; knowledge of GD&T and DFM principles.
• Familiarity with global engineering standards and regulatory documentation.
• Effective team player with strong communication skills and analytical thinking.
