Associate/Senior Associate-Consulting/Valuation

Role & responsibilities

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES -

• Execution of Consulting assignment

- To be able to handle a project independently from start to finish

- Create and maintain industry/client contact, clarify client expectations and purpose of project;

- Travel to subject hotels and sites to gather information necessary for appraisal and consulting process;

- Interview competitive hotel operators, government officials, and other sources of primary and secondary information;

- Address client queries related to an assignment completed by self or team;

- Carry out detailed analytical models and creation of side models

- Present and draft reports to be sent to the client using HVS formats

- Ensure qualitative report writing by colleagues/analysts

- Timely completion of assignments with defined timelines

- To be able to undertake various types of assignments operator searches, mixed use etc.

• Revenue and Sales

- To ensure the strategy is being followed and all best practices are in order

- To ensure all client assignments are executed and delivered using the various HVS tools

• New Business Development and Client Management

- Identify leads / opportunities for business development

- Follow up on leads and generate new proposals

- Actively undertake networking activities by participation in forums/seminars

- To manage the cordial relationship with all the customers & entities. To be clued in to the inside industry news and information

• Team Management

- Train and motivate analysts/new associates towards execution and closure of consulting assignments while adhering to standard operating procedures

- Take on a supervisory role to ensure effective work delegation and proper work flow management

- Build rapport and trust amongst team members

- Nurture a spirit of teamwork

• Contribution to Internal Processes

- Ensure end to end completion of project assignment on internal database (SPIDER).

- Strengthen Internal Database (SPIDER).

- Ensure adherence to company policies.

- Author/Co author at least 2 articles per year

- Knowledge of the industry, real estate market and investment strategies to give valuable inputs

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree from a reputed university in hospitality management, real estate or valuation
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar work domain
• Strong analytical, financial and report writing skills
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Experience in working with advanced excel, power point, microsoft word
