Software Development Engineer - II

Role Description :

The SDE-II is a mid-level role in our lean and dynamic engineering team. In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build an efficient and secure platform focused on speed, scale, user experience and business growth. This role requires technical experience across fullstack, with high quality design, hands-on coding, documentation, strong problem solving, and communication skills, all within a fast paced startup environment.

Responsibilities :

- Define, design, develop, and ship new features

- Demonstrate the expertise to lead more complex technical components of the system

- Participate in evaluating risks and technical trade-offs decisions

- Contribute to test plans

- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices

- Mentor team members

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of experience with emphasis in full stack development.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

- Experience with modern frontend libraries such as React.js or Angular.

- Proficiency in Java, with strong experience in Spring Boot.

- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).

- Solid understanding of ORM frameworks (Hibernate, Sequelize, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Understanding of security practices, including OWASP, authentication, authorization (OAuth, JWT)
