About the Role :

Ascendion is seeking an experienced and solutions-focused .NET Developer with a minimum of 6+ years of overall experience and specifically 5+ years of hands-on development experience. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in the US Healthcare domain and experience working with Microsoft Azure. As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and RESTful APIs. You will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' complex business needs, particularly within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core.

- Build and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with various front-end and back-end services.

- Collaborate with architects, lead developers, and other team members to translate technical requirements into functional code.

- Apply knowledge of the US Healthcare domain to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet industry-specific needs and regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance).

- Leverage experience with Microsoft Azure services for application deployment, scaling, and integration (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage).

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.

- Troubleshoot and debug application issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment.

- Work effectively in an Agile development environment.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in .NET technologies and Azure services.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 6+ years of overall experience in software development.

- 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience as a .NET Developer.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong proficiency in C# programming language.

- Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC for building web applications.

- Solid experience with .NET Core development.

- Proven experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Strong background and understanding of the US Healthcare domain.

- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its relevant services for application development and deployment.

- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and writing SQL queries.

- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, a JavaScript framework like Angular, React, or Vue.js) is beneficial.

- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

- Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience :

- Experience with specific US Healthcare standards or protocols (e.g., HL7, FHIR).

- Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture.

- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).

- Relevant Microsoft or Azure certifications.
