Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience. At least 3 years of experience working in listed entities is mandatory.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deputy General Manager - Direct Taxation to lead and manage all aspects of direct tax compliance, reporting, and litigation across the organization. The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in tax laws, regulatory compliance, and handling tax audits and assessments, preferably in listed companies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. TDS Compliance: Consolidate monthly TDS data, ensure accurate computation, and oversee timely TDS payments. Manage quarterly E-TDS filings and ensure timely issuance of Form 16 and Form 16A to dedicatees.
2. Advance Tax Management: Calculate and ensure timely payment of Group Advance Tax liabilities.
3. Income Tax Compliance: Manage all direct tax compliance requirements, including returns, filings, and reporting. Conduct 26AS reconciliation with the books of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Support for Financial Reporting: Provide necessary tax-related information during the finalization of accounts, preparation of financials, and during tax audits.
5. Tax Assessments and Litigation: Represent the organization in Income Tax assessments, appeals, and litigation matters at various levels.
6. Advisory and Updates: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, evaluate their implications, and advise the management on necessary actions.
Key Skills and Competencies:
1. Strong technical knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulations.
2. Hands-on experience with TDS, Advance Tax, Income Tax Assessments, Appeals, and Tax Litigation.
3. Expertise in handling tax compliance for listed companies.
4. Proficiency in tax reconciliation, finalization support, and audit handling.
5. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities.
