Blumetra - Business Analyst (5-9 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Operational Finance Business Analyst to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with financial data analysis and enterprise ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Finance.

This role demands a strong understanding of budgeting processes, variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. forecast), and cost management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze and interpret financial data related to operational performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost structures.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights on budget vs. actual performance and identify areas of improvement.

- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support business reviews and decision-making.

- Use SAP ERP or Oracle Financial modules to extract and analyze relevant data.

- Provide detailed variance analysis and explanations for senior management.

- Assist in financial planning, monthly/quarterly closing activities, and forecasting cycles.

- Identify cost optimization opportunities across departments and contribute to strategic initiatives.

- Partner with stakeholders to improve financial processes and implement data-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. (MBA/CA/ICWA preferred).

- 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis.

- Hands-on experience in SAP ERP (FI/CO modules) or Oracle Financials.

- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles.

- Expertise in financial modeling and tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Nice To Have :

- Experience with project accounting or manufacturing cost models.

- Familiarity with process automation tools or SQL for data extraction.

- Previous experience working in a shared service or global delivery environment.
