Job Overview:
The Sales Coordinator / Runner Boy will play a vital role in supporting the sales & CRM team by coordinating sales activities, managing documentation, and facilitating communication between clients and the construction team. This position requires someone who is organized, proactive, and has a strong understanding of the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Coordination: Assist the sales team in managing leads, tracking sales activities, and maintaining customer databases..
2. Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project updates.
3. Runner Responsibilities: Deliver documents, samples, and materials to clients, suppliers, and job sites as needed. Collect payments or deposits from clients when required, ensuring proper documentation is maintained. Assist in picking up supplies or equipment from vendors or suppliers as directed by the sales team, taking customers to the site visits.
4. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends that could impact sales strategies. Provide feedback to the sales team regarding competitor activities and customer preferences.
5. Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining inventory of office supplies. Support the sales team in organizing promotional events, trade shows, or client meetings.
6. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and project execution. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for projects.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma; a degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
* Previous experience as a sales coordinator or runner in the construction industry is preferred.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
* Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
