ETL Tester (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Role : ETL Tester with Data Engineering & Data Science Expertise

Key Skills Required :

- ETL Testing : Strong experience in testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations.

- Data Engineering : Hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines.

- Data Science Exposure : Understanding of machine learning models, data preprocessing, and analytics.

- SQL & Data Validation : Strong expertise in writing complex queries, data verification, and database testing.

- Big Data Technologies : Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, and cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Python / PySpark / Scala : Ability to write and test data processing scripts.

- ETL Tools : Experience with Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or AWS Glue.

- BI & Reporting Tools :Understanding of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for data validation.

- Data Quality & Governance : Knowledge of data profiling, cleansing, and governance best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- ETL Testing & Data Validation : Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of ETL processes.

- Develop & Optimize Data Pipelines : Work with ETL engineers and data scientists to improve data workflows.

- Data Migration Testing : Validate data movement across different environments (on-prem & cloud).

- Automation of Data Testing : Develop test scripts using Python, SQL, and PySpark.

- Root Cause Analysis : Troubleshoot data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and discrepancies.

- Work Closely with Data Scientists : Assist in data preparation, feature engineering, and model validation.

- Implement Data Governance Best Practices : Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulations.

Good to Have :

- Hands-on experience with Data Lakes & Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse Analytics).

- Machine Learning Model Testing & MLOps knowledge.

- Experience with CI/CD for ETL processes (Jenkins, Git, Airflow).

- Cloud Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
