Job Overview :

We are looking for a Databricks Subject Matter Expert (SME) with GCP expertise to architect, optimize, and maintain data engineering workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Databricks, Terraform scripting, and cloud cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize Databricks-based data solutions on GCP.

- Implement Terraform scripts to automate cloud infrastructure deployment.

- Monitor, analyze, and optimize GCP costs to improve cloud efficiency.

- Develop and manage data pipelines and ETL workflows using Databricks.

- Ensure seamless integration between Databricks and GCP services.

- Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams for scalable and secure infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability of Databricks solutions.

- Provide technical documentation and training on best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks development and administration.

- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

- Proficiency in Terraform scripting for infrastructure as code (IaC).

- Experience in cost optimization strategies for GCP.

- Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
