Job Description:
Our Client, an established US MNC is looking to hire a Country GM. We are looking to recruit exceptional, high-potential professional having exceptional capital equipment Marketing & Sales skills and experience. The ideal candidate would be highly customer focused with capital equipment sales and marketing experience.
He should have an ability to provide outside-in focus with an ability to align the organization deliverables to market demand with respect to quality, cost and delivery. He will be responsible for presiding over the entire workforce and will manage budgets and make sure resources are allocated properly.
The ideal GM will make sure departments meet their individual goals and are responsible for overall accountability to parent company. The GM will be knowledgeable about manufacturing capabilities yet entrusting their team to deliver according to expectations.
He will encourage business investment from the community and act as the public face of the company. In addition, the person in the role of GM must have an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt quickly to changes in the marketplace. This position is the company ambassador in India and will manage the local P&L and have presence at customer sites and trade shows.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage the P&L of India operations.
- Manage site functional leads with matrixed reporting to US corporate leadership.
- Work with other executive members to plan and implement a short-, mid- and long-term strategy for the company.
- Meet with corporate and regional executives to assess the direction of the company and ensure it is in line with the company's stated mission.
- Act as a visionary and provide leadership for the subsidiary.
- Oversee the complete operation of the Subsidiary, ensuring it operates and goals are met based on the direction established in the strategic plans.
- Insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Acts as the face of the company when dealing with state and local governments and the local community.
- Engages with customers focusing on account management and engagement with long-term relationship management skills.
- Oversee budgets, staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Innovative, with a vision of the future of the company that they can plan, strategize and execute.
- Experience in a capital goods manufacturing and engineering environments is required.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures.
- Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to identify and secure funding/revenue sources.
- Financial and operational knowledge, ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data as well as knowledge of regulations, policy and procedures that affect the company.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Knowledge of public relations principles and practices.
- Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques.
- Strong commercial awareness, and full business operations.
- Requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate with other executives and frontline employees.
- Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through their influence.
- Ability to attract, develop and retain top talent.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Mechanical Engineer preferably with MBA degree.
