Consultant - Goods & Service Tax Expert - Big 4 (3-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

GST Compliance:

- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C, etc.)

- Ensure timely reconciliation of GSTR 2B with books of accounts

GST Advisory:

- Provide expert advice on GST applicability, classification, valuation, and structuring transactions

- Analyze client transactions for GST implications and suggest tax-efficient solutions

Audit and Assessment Support:

- Handle GST audits, inquiries, and assessments from the department

- Draft replies to notices and represent clients before GST authorities

Litigation and Representation:

- Support in drafting appeals and submissions before Appellate Authorities/Tribunals

- Coordinate with legal teams on complex litigation matters

- Fully Understand GST domain

- Including returns, registrations,

- Refunds, etc.

- Consultant would be responsible for identification & implementation of use cases of tax evasion.

- Support in policy making.

- Impart trainings

Regulatory Updates:

- Monitor changes in GST laws and rules and update clients and internal teams

- Conduct training sessions and prepare technical notes or alerts
