Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or related field
• Certifications: Diploma in Industrial Safety (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 12-20 years in safety training, preferably in thermal power or heavy industrial construction projects
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
• Familiarity with HIRA, JSA, PTW systems, and emergency response protocols

Roles and Responsibilities

Training Program Development & Delivery

• Design and conduct engaging safety training sessions tailored to job roles and site-specific risks
• Facilitate induction programs for new employees and contractors
• Deliver specialized modules on fire safety, electrical safety, confined space entry, PPE usage, and emergency response

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure training programs align with national and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, Factories Act)
• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, certifications, and evaluations
• Prepare reports for audits, inspections, and management reviews

Risk Identification & Mitigation

• Collaborate with site teams to identify training needs based on incident trends and operational changes
• Conduct refresher courses and behavioral safety workshops to reinforce safe practices

Emergency Preparedness

• Organize mock drills and simulations for fire, chemical spills, and evacuation scenarios
• Train emergency response teams and ensure readiness across all shifts

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with project managers, client HSE teams, and external auditors
• Act as a mentor and advisor to site supervisors and safety officers

Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and incident analysis
• Update training content regularly to reflect evolving risks and regulatory changes

Safety Training & Induction

• Conduct induction programs for new hires and contractors
• Deliver refresher courses and behavioral safety sessions
• Customize training for different roles, languages, and literacy levels

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) & Permit to Work (PTW)

• Educate teams on JSA preparation and review
• Train on PTW procedures for hot work, confined space, electrical isolation, etc.
• Ensure understanding of permit conditions and closure protocols

Safety Audit & Inspections

• Support audit teams by preparing training records and compliance logs
• Train supervisors on conducting daily safety inspections
• Address gaps identified during audits through targeted training

Incident Investigation

• Train teams on incident reporting and root cause analysis
• Use tools like 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams in training sessions
• Share lessons learned and preventive strategies across departments
