Job Summary:

The Finance Controller/RFH will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Dainik Bhaskar, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the effective management of financial resources. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in finance and accounting, particularly within the print media industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Management: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Should monitor/lead monthly and yearly closing of accounts.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's budget and financial forecasts especially of raw material. Analyze variances and provide insights for corrective actions.

• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

• Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, working closely with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency. Inventory and Material management.

• Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all financial practices adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.

• Legal Management: Legal tracking and monitoring of sec. 138 cases and service agreements, dispute resolution and liasoning.

• Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives. Periodic MIS & analysis, review of critical financial and operational information for decision making.

• Debtors Management: Advt. billing & debtors management thereof.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific guidelines.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered accountant (CA)
• Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., SAP (S4 HANA), advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
