Technician - PCB Assembly

Qualification: Dip (ECE / EEE) with 2 to 3 yrs of experience in PCB Assembly.

Job Description:

Soldering Components: Manually solder electronic components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs) to printed circuit boards (PCBs) or other electronic devices, ensuring proper connection and functionality.

Assembly: Assemble various electronic subassemblies by following technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Inspection: Inspect solder joints and overall work for defects such as cold solder joints, excess solder, or improper connections, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Repair Work: Perform rework and repair on defective solder joints or malfunctioning circuit boards, troubleshooting issues as needed.

Tool Maintenance: Maintain and clean soldering equipment and tools regularly, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Documentation: Record work completed, including repairs, rework, or new assemblies, and ensure traceability of work performed.

Adherence to Standards: Follow industry safety protocols, quality control procedures, and health guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production teams, or supervisors to ensure products meet design specifications and production timelines.

Skill Sets:

Experience: Prior experience with manual soldering techniques and the ability to solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of basic electronics and electrical components.

Attention to Detail: High level of precision and accuracy required for assembling and soldering small, delicate components.

Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues in soldering or component placement.

Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols when working with hot soldering irons and electronic components.
