Operations Analyst - Inventory Control

Location: Head Office, New Delhi

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Control & Reconciliation

• Track and report all Good-to-Bad and Bad-to-Good inventory movements, including misplaced and recovered items.
• Monitor system vs. physical inventory discrepancies and ensure timely escalations to the warehouse or 3PL and closure of escalations.
• Maintain structured logs of missing items, surplus findings, and post-RCA stock corrections.

Claims & Dispute Resolution

• Own the negotiation of inventory damage, expired and lost item claims with 3PL partners for warehouse losses.
• Drive the claim process for customer escalations involving missing items, coordinating with support and logistics teams.
• Maintain supporting documentation (photos, manifests, stock movement records) and submit claim decks to 3PLs.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and recovery through credit notes, replacements, or reimbursements.

Audit & Compliance Reporting

• Maintain a central tracker of all ongoing and closed claims, including financial impact.
• Conduct monthly claim recovery analysis and highlight trends of repetitive failures by zonal warehouses and 3PL partners.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure credit settlements match ledger entries.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with warehouse operations, customer care, and finance for aligned and prompt resolution.
• Raise red flags where SOP deviations or claim rejections are unreasonable and contributing to inventory leakage.
• Support process improvements in inventory handling, packaging practices, and damage minimization.

Key Requirements:

• 24 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse analytics, or logistics claims handling.
• Strong command over Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, filtering, Power Query preferred).
• Experience with WMS tools like Vinculum, SAP, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in inventory claim preparation, dispute handling, and credit note recoveries.
• Strong negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure, multi-task, and work cross-functionally.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in eCommerce, retail.
• Exposure to 3PL warehousing environments and service-level contracts.
• Understanding of SKU-wise tracking, damage reporting, and fulfillment chain.
