Commercial Banking Tribe

Youll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

Our tribe is on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. On that we are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

Your key responsibilities

• You implement features for our digital sales processes for small and medium corporates within Deutsche Bank including both frontend and backend functionalities.
• You design, develop and document microservice-based & Cloud-native application components which fulfil business requirements as well as technical requirements like observability, scalability, and stability/resilience.
• You write clear, maintainable, and reusable code and take part in code reviews to ensure that features are developed at high quality standards.
• You participate in and actively contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions within the team.
• You are working in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy and actively engage in the engineering community, share your knowledge, and build up a solid network.

Your skills and experience

• University degree with technological or scientific focus (preferably in Computer Science / Mathematics / Physics) or equivalent working experience.
• Several years of experience in fullstack development of robust and reusable code, especially experience with Java, Spring framework, APIs (RESTful services), databases. Experience in JavaScript (including Node.js framework), Typescript, Angular JS is a plus, same applies for experience with KOTLIN.
• You have experience in designing micro services, understand the SOLID principles and have a good understanding of architectural patterns and how to apply them. You can execute the full SDLC, write good, reusable, testable and maintainable code and you are familiar with agile work.
• You have very good and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and GCP (alternatively Azure or AWS).
• You are a good team player who is eager to learn and likes to work in a highly motivated and ambitious team. You like to share content and best practices, have good communication skills, and can communicate fluently in English.
