Server Administrator - Active Directory (5-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Windows Server Administration :

- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems across various versions.

- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, including user and group management, GPOs, and replication.

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot DNS and DHCP services.

Virtualization Management :

- Manage and maintain virtualization environments using VMware and/or Hyper-V.

- Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs).

- Monitor virtualization infrastructure performance and resource utilization.

- Troubleshoot virtualization-related issues.

Cloud Services :

- Manage and maintain cloud services on AWS and/or Azure platforms (EC2, Azure VMs, storage, networking).

- Participate in cloud infrastructure design and implementation.

- Monitor cloud service performance and costs.

Security and Compliance :

- Implement and maintain server security best practices.

- Perform regular security patching and updates on servers.

- Manage and monitor server antivirus and other security tools.

- Ensure compliance with relevant security policies and standards.

Backup and Disaster Recovery :

- Implement, manage, and monitor server backup solutions.

- Develop and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

- Perform data restores as needed.

Automation and Scripting :

- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting languages.

- Develop scripts for monitoring, reporting, and deployment.

Troubleshooting and Support :

- Provide timely and effective technical support for server-related issues.

- Participate in on-call rotations as required to support 24/7 operations.

Documentation :

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements :

Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in server administration, with a strong focus on Windows environments.

Technical Skills :

- Proven hands-on experience with Windows Server operating systems (various versions).

- Strong practical experience in managing and troubleshooting VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.

- Experience with implementing and managing backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Windows Server Backup).

- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and DHCP.

- Familiarity with Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of server hardware and troubleshooting.

- Understanding of security best practices for server environments.

Scripting Skills :

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.

- Experience with other scripting languages (Bash, Python) is a plus.

BPO Environment :

- Willingness and ability to work night shifts in a 24/7 BPO operational environment is mandatory.

Cloud Experience :

- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms is a significant plus
