Job Description

Job Description of NPD Design Head :
We are seeking an experienced and innovative professional to lead our New Product Development (NPD) design team for Tool & Die. The role involves spearheading the design and development of high-precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support product innovation, prototyping, and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the NPD Tool & Die design team from concept to production.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, QA, procurement) to translate product concepts into manufacturable designs.
  • Develop 3D/2D CAD models and technical drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Simulation.
  • Review and approve tool and die designs ensuring compliance with product specifications, cost targets, and timelines.
  • Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, validation, and iteration of tools and dies.
  • Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles are applied throughout.
  • Establish and standardize best practices for design, testing, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement design improvements for reliability and performance.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements in die-making technology, materials, and design trends.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in tooling development.
