Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle DBA to join our team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in database administration, primarily with Oracle, and ideally possess knowledge of MSSQL and/or MySQL. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of our critical database systems, ensuring their high availability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Database Installation & Configuration : Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products (e.g., Grid Infrastructure, RAC, Data Guard).

- Performance Tuning & Optimization : Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance using various tools (e.g., AWR, ASH, ADDM, Explain Plan). Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at the database, SQL, and OS levels.

- Backup & Recovery : Implement, manage, and test robust backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, Data Pump) to ensure data integrity and availability.

- Database Monitoring : Proactively monitor database health, performance, capacity, and security using native tools and third-party monitoring solutions.

- Troubleshooting & Support : Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, including connectivity, performance, and data corruption, providing 24/7 on-call support as needed.

- Security & Access Control : Implement and maintain database security, including user management, role-based access control, and auditing.

- Patch Management : Apply database patches, bug fixes, and security updates following best practices.

- Database Design & Schema Management : Assist in database design, schema modifications, and data modeling activities.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including architecture diagrams, operating procedures, and runbooks.

- Cross-Database Knowledge (Preferred) : Provide support or expertise for MSSQL and/or MySQL databases, including administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

Oracle Expertise :

- Strong proficiency in Oracle Database versions (e.g., 12c, 19c) including installation, configuration, and administration.

- In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), Data Guard, and ASM (Automatic Storage Management).

- Expertise in Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- Proficient with RMAN for backup and recovery operations.

- Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.

- Operating Systems : Experience with database administration on Linux/Unix and/or Windows operating systems.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

- Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Database Preference (Strong Plus) : Experience with MSSQL and/or MySQL database administration is a significant advantage.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
