Urgent Opening for Head HR in Raipur Location for Hospital Industry

Objective

The incumbent is responsible for acquiring & enhancing the human capital of hospital, Raipur through people policy formulation, its implementation; performance management and learning & development programs.


Principal Accountabilities


(A) Strategic

1. Head of function

  • Identify vision & strategy for the Human Resource department.
  • Ensure manpower plan is in place.
  • Formulate the strategy & policies for organizational learning & development.
  • Design & review Organizational Structure, grades & ascertain effectiveness & parity within the organization, across various grades & positions.

2. Organizational Design & structure

  • Ensure banding is complied with.
  • Design job description and ensure JDs are drafted as per plan.
  • Draft policies and processes for effective Succession planning and career path.

3. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare HR MIS report (recruitment, compensation, separation, discipline, projects, performance etc) and share with the management
  • Review HR MIS data generated by the HR team on a regular basis & identify areas for improvement.

4. Personnel records

  • Ensure maintenance and updating of all employee records pertaining to recruitment, employee movements, compensation, trainings undertaken etc.

5. Policies & Processes

  • Create Human Resources System that meets information needs of manpower planning, hiring and training
  • Ensure effective implementation of HR policies and activities across departments

6. Leaves & Holidays

  • Ensure timely communication of annual holidays
  • Draft internal leave policy (including carry over/ encashment), communicate and monitor the same

7. Workplace policy & code of conduct

  • Formulate, communicate & monitor compliance with workplace policies (code of conduct)
  • Act as an ombudsperson in cases related to harassment etc.

8. Legal & Statutory Compliance

  • Identify different legal & statutory requirements that are to be complied with.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national laws concerning the human resources administration function

(B) Operational

1. Recruitment (from manpower requisition to induction)

  • Identify various cost and time effective recruitment sources and monitor the recruitment activities to reduce turn around time
  • Ensure HR screening rounds are conducted and monitor to ensure fixation of salaries for all new hires
  • Ensure all joining formalities are completed as per policy
  • Ensure implementation of induction program (clinical & non-clinical)

2. Compensation & Benefits

  • Ensure formulation and implementation of Compensation Policy
  • Designs & monitor entire salary management process, including leave calculation
  • Set up and implement timely and accurate system for salary disbursement
  • Manage benefits and maintain records of all salary change
  • Ensure tax advisory service is available to employees as per requirement

3. Performance Management & Enhancement

  • Establish processes for performance management systems each year at various levels
  • Facilitate KRA Setting & Performance Appraisals
  • Provide critical inputs for role change & Increment /bonus
  • Recommend & implement policies to ensure retention of the high potential/performing employees

4. Employee grievance handling

  • Draft policies & assess compliance for employee issue/ grievance/ complaint resolution
  • Manage employee expectations and resolve grievances. Act as mediator where required

5. Employee Separation

  • Design, implement & monitor Separation Policy / processes (voluntary & involuntary)
  • Provide inputs & where possible, implement strategies for improving retention
  • Collate & review feedback from exit interviews to improve employee engagement policies/ culture development
  • Monitor and ensure exit interviews & full & final settlements are as per policy

6. Learning & Development

  • Ensure identification of learning needs across the organization is done as per policy/ strategy
  • Ensure development of learning calendar and assess results of training effectiveness activities
  • Monitor compliance with training policy

7. People Management & Development (For own team)

  • Create positive working environment for the HR team. Manage all people related issue for direct reportees
  • Enhance team performance through developmental exercises, Reward & Recognition programs
  • Ensure timely & appropriate communication of management decisions
  • Act as first point of contact for communication, interpretation and implementation of management decisions to direct reporting subordinates
  • Directly contribute to recruitment of own team members
  • Develop own knowledge of latest industry trends and events
  • Develops performance indicators for own team members

Educational Qualification

Essential: The incumbent should be MBA/PGD-HR or postgraduate

Preferable: MBA - HR and Legal background

Industry Preference: Healthcare / Service industry


Experience

He/she should have least 12 years of experience in Human Resources (including 5 years in a managerial position).

  • Understanding of competitors
  • Sound knowledge of Industrial Relations & Personnel Management
