Lead Engineer - Electrical Design

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems from a Teir-1 Engineering College in India
• 8 to 10 Years of experience
• P.S.: Experience of working in Design or Operations of Power Plant(s) would be an added advantage, especially in I.C. Engines / Gas turbine or Steam turbine-based power plants

Roles and Responsibility at Excelsis

• Strong knowledge of Power Plant system design, including Medium Voltage and/or High Voltage systems, Power Distribution, and Transmission systems.
• Experience in basic electrical system design for Diesel, Gas, Thermal, and Solar power plants, including preparation of applicable Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
• Ability to calculate and prepare cabling layouts and cable schedules.
• Preparation of panel specifications according to project requirements.
• Knowledge of synchronizing systems, grid synchronization, and substation requirements and design.
• Ability to analyze vendor proposals and review panel drawings.
• Proficiency in short circuit, fault level, and other design parameter calculations.
• Basic designing skills for PLC SCADA systems.
• Capable of preparing all tender-related drawings and detailed drawings.
• Understanding of Quality Assurance plans, safety requirements, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to translate buyer requirements into standard solutions, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Preparation of estimates, schedules, work plans, and resource/sourcing plans.
• Clear definition of the input required to create accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate as a key member of the sales team to represent solution offerings to client buyers and internal groups.
• Proficiency in renewable energy project design, particularly in PV Solar System sizing, designing, and project engineering/execution.
• Understanding of electricity market mechanisms in various countries.
• Proficient in Microsoft software such as PowerPoint and desktop research tools.
• Demonstrated self-starter, motivator, with thought leadership qualities in Electrical design, and excellent networking skills.
