Ssrs Developer

Primary Responsibilities

• System Scope and Objectives: Formulate and define system scope and objectives for assigned projects.
• Software Solutions: Develop appropriate software solutions for new services and functionality requests.
• Specifications and Testing: Develop detailed specifications, application coding, unit, and systems testing.
• Problem Solving: Examine, devise, and modify procedures to solve moderately complex problems considering existing system capabilities, operating time, or desired results.
• Production Coordination: Coordinate and support software production schedules and processing.
• Service Delivery: Work with units throughout the organisation to ensure smooth delivery of existing services and program modifications.
• Client Training: Support the planning and training of internal clients when new applications are launched, or new processes are implemented.
• Peer Leadership: Provide peer leadership and collaborate with leads, team members, and other development staff.
• Project Tracking: Conduct project tracking activity and walkthroughs of software code to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Technology Implementation: Work with the development team to implement new technologies.
• Independent Development: Independently develop software, code, test, and debug.
• Process Improvement: Recommend modifications to existing processes and new procedures to solve complex problems considering system limitations, operating time, and desired results.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and functional groups to improve existing processes and technical output.
• Gap Identification: Proactively identify gaps and escalate in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documentation: Create and update all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.
• Problem Escalation: Escalate problems of complex technical circumstances to appropriate channels.
• Quality Standards: Promote policies that foster quality standards and industry best practices.
• Compliance: Adhere to ethical standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science with additional coursework in management, information processing, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 plus to 7 years of progressively responsible software development

Mandatory Skill

Should be strong in SSRS (at least 4+ years of experience)

SSRS: Strong understanding on SSRS Architecture, Report Development, Data Sources and Datasets, Report Layout and Formatting, Advanced Reporting Features, Deployment and Management.

AWS Resources: Good knowledge on AWS Serverless architecture – SNS, SQS, Lambda, Fargate, ECS, DynamoDB

Performance Optimization: Strong understanding on SSRS Performance Optimization, Integrating SSRS with Other Technologies

SQL: Strong understanding on SQL Concepts (Data normalization, Indexing, Joins, Stored procedures and functions, Triggers, Performance tuning, Views, ACID properties SQL queries, Temporary tables, Using subqueries)

Good to have Skill

Methodology: Good understanding on Agile & Scrum Methodology

Python: Good understanding on Python Programming and hands-on experience in at least one project.

Project Exposure: Good understanding on multiple project implementation experience

Troubleshooting: Experience in Debugging and troubleshooting to improve performance

Soft Skill
