Oracle Apex Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and implement applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and experience in creating user-friendly, efficient, and scalable applications tailored to business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development:

a. Design, develop, and maintain applications using Oracle APEX.

b. Build and deploy custom interactive dashboards and reports.

c. Develop database components using SQL and PL/SQL.

2. Requirements Gathering:

a. Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and users to gather and analyze requirements.

b. Translate business needs into technical specifications.

3. Application Maintenance and Support:

a. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing APEX applications.

b. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.

4. Integration and Testing:

a. Integrate Oracle APEX applications with other enterprise systems or third-party tools.

b. Perform thorough testing to ensure application reliability and performance.

5. Documentation:

a. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and guidelines.

b. Document processes and provide training to team members.

6. Continuous Improvement:

a. Identify and implement enhancements to improve application usability, performance, and security.

b. Stay updated with Oracle APEX features and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Oracle APEX Developer (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL programming.
• Hands-on experience with APEX features such as interactive grids, charts, RESTful services, and dynamic actions.
• Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Understanding of application security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware or other Oracle tools.
• Knowledge of BI tools like Oracle BI Publisher or other reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in building APIs and integrating APEX with external systems.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle APEX Developer Certified Specialist) are a plus.
