Job Description
Who are we
Job Overview:
This is a key role within Wabtec s Product Cybersecurity organization, responsible for enhancing the maturity of technical aspects within Product Cybersecurity Operations and contributing to the future vision.
This role will also play a central role in enhancing Wabtec s Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) and will help to drive shift-left cybersecurity initiatives within the SDLC, while also promoting the DevSecOps practice. This role requires close collaboration across Product Cybersecurity and Product Engineering teams to help embed cybersecurity throughout the SDLC, ensuring a comprehensive and streamlined integration of all product cybersecurity processes in line with Wabtec s policies and procedures.
Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years experience in product security, application security, or software development/architecture with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing security controls and secure software development practices.
- Experience in Secure code review, application security scanning, application and infra manual pen testing, vulnerability management and other application security testing domain.
- Experience in software security testing processes, tools, and technologies.
- Experience dealing with software security threats and vulnerabilities in web, mobile, and/or embedded systems programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Goland, Java, .Net, Python, PHP, etc.).
- Knowledgeable in DevOps and CI/CD automation practices, as well as open-source governance.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, as well as the ability to translate technical security concepts into business-relevant terms.
- Exposure to embedded system security, Firmware security, Cryptography is a plus.
- Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, CDP, CCSE, OSCP, etc.) preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the product cybersecurity strategy, including security architecture, threat modeling, and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security requirements and incorporate them into the design and development process.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance the security posture of the company s products.
- Create simple and re-usable artifacts to guide developments and testing teams on proactively integrating security testing into the application build process.
- Provide technical guidance and training to teams on secure software development, cloud security, and other software security testing practices.
- Develop scalable solutions that help engineering teams to reduce efforts in product cybersecurity processes, and to mitigate potential risk.
