Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop solutions during the proposal phase, ensuring that the project scope is clearly defined and maintained through design and delivery.
• Provide timely design inputs to enable the development of accurate product models, and document design decisions for future reference.
• Prepare essential project documentation, including calculations, datasheets, and reports, adhering to project timelines. Address client feedback and revisions promptly.
• Act as a technical advisor to Project Managers, supporting decisions on purchasing, vendor relations, and production planning to optimize project success.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, recommending relevant resources to support ongoing design improvements.
• Work closely with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the Engineering Department to enhance knowledge sharing and develop comprehensive system solutions.
• Manage a database of nonconformance reports (NCRs) to facilitate continuous improvement through analysis and standardization.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, ideally within the water treatment, oil and gas, or manufacturing industries.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of process engineering, instrumentation design, control systems, project documentation, and familiarity with equipment like pumps, valves, and piping systems.
• Soft Skills: Proactive, strong work ethic, strategic thinker, and effective communicator. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing project needs.
