Role: Assistant Manager - IT - Network & Security

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Mumbai

Work Mode: Work from Office

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Sat Off)

Key responsibilities:

1. Network & Security Operations:

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network components (LAN, WAN, WLAN) to ensure efficient data communications and security.
• Install, integrate, and troubleshoot networking devices, including firewalls, Internet VPNs, and remote implementations.
• Design, configure, and oversee functional networks, including core switches, VLANs, routing, switching, and SD-WAN solutions.
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) and test for weaknesses, ensuring 99.99% uptime for network links and RF connectivity.
• Implement and manage firewalls, including SD-WAN, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, and Forti VM on cloud services.
• Configure and troubleshoot WAN, firewall infrastructure, NAT, tunnels, and link configurations.

2. Security Management:

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Conduct internal security audits, maintain risk registers, and implement threat intelligence measures.
• Create, oversee, and test security solutions for end customers, including access authentication and disaster recovery.
• Identify emerging security vulnerabilities and technology issues, conducting at least 4 POCs annually and publishing results for managerial approval.

3. Project Management:

• Lead end-to-end project management for new plant, location, and office setups, including network configurations, site surveys, and barcoding application support.
• Manage the preparation of BoQ and solution documents, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business requirements.
• Monitor project progress, generate weekly reports on network uptime and performance, and manage project timelines agreed upon with business stakeholders.

4. Vendor & Asset Management:

• Manage vendors for networking solutions, ensuring timely updates and resolving procurement issues.
• Oversee asset management and tagging across multiple locations, maintaining detailed activity trackers and ensuring manager approvals upon task completion.

5. Team Collaboration & Training:

• Provide training and presentations to internal teams to upgrade product knowledge.
• Participate in OEM product trainings to gain hands-on experience with networking and security solutions.
• Offer Tier 3 support for escalated network issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimizing downtime.

6. Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with internal and external security audits and report findings with action plans and completion timelines.
• Publish weekly location-wise and link-wise network uptime reports and vendor performance updates.

Competencies/skills:

• Education: BE in Information Technology, Computer Technology, or EXTC (AICTE Approved).
• Certifications: NSE4,NSE5,NSE6,NSE7,FCSS - Advanced Analytics Architect, FCSS - Security Operations Analyst

Technical Expertise:

• Core Switch Configuration, VLAN, Routing, Switching.
• Fortinet products (FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, SD-WAN, Firewall Configuration).
• Cloud-based security solutions (Forti VM, Forti EMS).
• Strong knowledge of network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Additional Skills: Strong project management, vendor management, and asset management skills.
