JOB TITLE - Senior Category Manager - Logistics Procurement

JOB OBJECTIVES - Lead and create streamline supply chain & Procurement processes, drive operational excellence, achieve cost efficiencies, and ensure the seamless delivery of product

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Procurement Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for secondary transportation and warehousing services, aligning with overall business objectives and budget constraints.

- Update Category Strategy Document as per evolving business need

- Industry Benchmark / BIG Benchmarking

- Risk Analysis and Mitigation Plan

- Implement Logistics Scorecard

- Season Readiness Plan Implementation, Festival

- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable and cost-effective vendors for secondary transportation and warehousing services. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

- Secondary Logistics readiness plan to support capacity addition

- Induct new transporters per zone

- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for transportation and warehousing contracts, including pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation provisions.

- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with secondary transportation and warehousing, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance.

- Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance procurement efficiency, visibility, and cost control within the secondary transportation and warehousing network.

- Knowledge of e-sourcing tools

- Sustainability: Integrate sustainability considerations into procurement decisions, ensuring that transportation and warehousing practices are environmentally responsible and socially conscious.

- Prepare EV readiness plan for Secondary

- Identify sustainability initiatives for Secondary

SYSTEM & PROCESS

- TMS System: Learn and have detailed understand on TMS system how systems and processes

- Freight Leavers-Understand the freight leavers and make long term strategy around to drive efficiencies and service at optimum cost

Functional Reporting: Procurement Head - Logistics

Logistics Category Manager

KEY CUSTOMERS:

Internal - Zonal Logistics Team, Zonal finance & RTM

External - Transporter, Warehouse vendors

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum Education: Graduate/MBA

Minimum Work Experience: 10 years FMCG sales / distribution experience
