AspenTech Scheduling and Planning Support Specialist

The AspenTech Scheduling and Planning Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and expertise in scheduling and planning using AspenTech software solutions. The role involves configuring and maintaining the AspenTech system, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring efficient and accurate scheduling and planning processes to support operational goals.

Key Skills:

• 4-8 years of support experience on the Aspenone Supply Chain management tool.
• provide configuration development and support of Aspenone supply chain management software modules like Aspen plant Sceduler, Demand manager and supply chain manager.
• Good to know Aspen Scheduler Explorer, Aspen Supply Chain Connect DB, and SLM.
• Good to know expert system rules and macros.
• Experience in system integration

Key Responsibilities:

• System Configuration and Maintenance:
• Configure and customize AspenTech scheduling and planning modules to meet the organisations specific needs.
• Regular system maintenance, updates, and patches are performed to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues to minimize downtime.

Technical Support:

• Provide first-line technical support for AspenTech scheduling and planning software, resolving user issues promptly.
• Work closely with IT and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
• Document and track support requests, solutions, and outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.

Process Optimization:

• Analyze current scheduling and planning processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient scheduling and planning.
• Provide recommendations for process enhancements and system optimizations to improve productivity and efficiency.

Training and Documentation:

• Conduct training sessions for end-users on effectively using AspenTech scheduling and planning tools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive user guides, technical manuals, and training materials.
• Assist users in understanding and leveraging the full capabilities of the AspenTech software.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and production, to ensure seamless integration of scheduling and planning processes.
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates on support activities and system performance.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure project goals are met.

Compliance and Best Practices:

• Ensure scheduling and planning activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Follow best practices in system configuration, data management, and user support.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in AspenTech software and related technologies.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in scheduling and planning support, preferably with AspenTech software.
• Experience in a manufacturing or process industry environment is a plus.
