Database Administrator - SQL Server (3-4 yrs)

Location : Ahmedabad

Experience : 3-4 Years

Notice Period : 15 -30 Days

Position Responsibilities :

Tasks can include but are not limited to :

- Always ON, Replication, Log shipping, clustering, backups and recovery, audit reporting, SSRS, TDE, Performance tuning as well as proactive environment health checks.

- TSQL, Query tuning, SQL Profiler, Execution Plan, Wait statistics.

- Disk space check, fragmentation, blocking, deadlock.

- Oversee and implement SQL Server based projects: Upgrades, migrations, refreshes, cloud implementations.

- Responsible for providing all aspects of SQL Server Database administration support.

- Support and follow the P0 and P1 escalation process.

- Support and follow the security management program and policy.

- Provide customer health checks as required.

- Take on New Technologies as the Company requires.

Requirements :

Essential Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

- 4-5+ years of direct hands on DBA of SQL Server database.

- Expertise in all major versions of SQL Server technology stack.

- Strong communication skills are an absolute must for this position.

- Strong English speaking and writing skills are required.

- Strong skills in the use of Microsoft products: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.

- Experience and ability to follow but also develop and write operational documentation is

required.
