CMDB & IT Asset Management Specialist (5-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage the CMDB to support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration item (CI) data and relationships in the CMDB.

- Ensure CMDB completeness, compliance, and correctness through regular audits and data quality checks.

- Collaborate with IT and business teams to define and enforce CMDB policies, standards, and governance.

- Integrate asset discovery tools (e.g., SCCM, ServiceNow Discovery) for automated CI population.

- Lead the IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.

- Track and reconcile hardware and software assets across locations.

- Generate regular reports for asset tracking, compliance, and lifecycle analysis.

- Drive improvements in asset visibility, cost optimization, and contract/license compliance.

- Provide support during audits, incident investigations, and vendor management activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 58 years of hands-on experience in CMDB & IT Asset Management roles.

- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework (certification preferred).

- Experience with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or other ITSM tools with CMDB modules.

- Familiarity with asset discovery tools and integrations.

- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools for data analysis.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
