Lead Instructional Designer

As a Lead Instructional Designer at Hurix Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the design and development of high-quality, engaging, and effective digital learning solutions. You will be responsible for reviewing content against instructional design guidelines and quality checklists, ensuring adherence to established norms, and maintaining high instructional and design standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to drive quality assurance, mentor junior designers, and ensure compliance with defined processes.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Instructional Design & Content Development

• Assist in gathering project requirements, defining learning objectives, and analyzing learner needs.
• Design and develop engaging and interactive digital learning content, including eLearning modules, microlearning, simulations, videos, and assessments.
• Apply instructional design models and adult learning principles to create effective learning solutions.
• Ensure content adheres to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0), copyright regulations, and instructional design best practices.

2. Content Review & Quality Assurance

• Review all instructional materials for clarity, accuracy, engagement, and instructional effectiveness.
• Ensure content aligns with instructional design guidelines, quality checklists, and style guides.
• Verify adherence to project-specific norms, ensuring consistency across learning materials.
• Collaborate with SMEs, designers, and developers to refine and enhance content quality.
• Perform systematic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and define Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to maintain high-quality standards.
• Track, update, and maintain quality process documents to drive continuous improvement.

3. Collaboration & Project Execution

• Work closely with project managers, media teams, and SMEs to deliver projects on time and within scope.

4. Mentorship & Support

• Guide junior instructional designers, ensuring they follow best practices and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure the team creates content in alignment with established norms, templates, and guidelines.
• Share insights on learning trends, new technologies, and innovative instructional strategies.
• Conduct training sessions on best practices and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in instructional design for digital learning solutions.
• Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools.
• Strong understanding of instructional theories, cognitive load principles, and adult learning methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving client needs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile instructional design environments.
• Knowledge of AI-driven learning solutions and adaptive learning technologies.
• Familiarity with gamification, scenario-based learning, and immersive learning approaches.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
