India has the highest medical inflation rate in Asia at 14%, thats more than China (12%), Indonesia (10%), Vietnam (10%), and the Philippines (9%). 50% of healthcare expenses in India are paid out-of-pocket. The global average is 20%. 1 in 4 urban Indian households that have taken unsecured loans took them to cover medical expenses and this trend is expected to only increase in the coming years.

The CarePal group came into existence to provide financing solutions that bridge the Out of Pocket Expense Needs of Middle Class Indians. The CarePal Groups vision is to build Indias first and largest integrated healthcare financing ecosystem. We do this by bringing Medical Crowd-Funding, Lending and Health Assurance under a single umbrella through three operating entities.

Product Management
We are a Series B-funded fin-tech start-up in the hyper-growth stage. With 500+ employees pan India, we are one of the fastest-growing start-ups in India. Our senior management is Harvard, Wharton, Parsons, IIT, and IIM alumni.

The Role : Product Management

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain product/journey roadmaps for loan offerings, aligning with business and sales objectives, customer needs, credit criteria and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimise digital journeys for medical loan applications, underwriting processes, and customer onboarding.
3. Manage vendors and communicate crisp and easy to understand requirements.
4. Manage the integration of third-party APIs and services into our lending platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity and data exchange with relevant stakeholders.
5. Participate in the software development lifecycle, working closely with engineering teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
6. Analyse and report product performance data and market trends to drive data- driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree/Masters Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
2. 3 plus years of experience in product management, preferably in fintech lending.
3. Strong understanding of software development cycles, API integrations, digital journey building, and lending processes and testing processes.
4. Proficient in project management tools and techniques, with experience in managing product development projects.
5.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Desired Exposure:
1. Experience in the lending industry specifically digital lending.
2. Exposure to product development lifecycles and experience in plug and play designing.
3. Experience analysing customer/user feedback and market insights to drive product improvements.

Preferable Skills:
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into crisp actionable and trackable plans.
2. Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools for interpreting and presenting product performance metrics.
3. Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and ability to understand and interpret industry trends.
