As a ServiceNow Developer, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and other technical teams to design and implement solutions that support business needs and improve user experience within the ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules, including but not limited to Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, and Service Catalog.
- Design, develop, and implement custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and service portal pages.
- Create and maintain ServiceNow integrations with other systems using web services (REST/SOAP), MID server, and API integrations.
- Build and configure Service Catalogs and Record Producers to deliver self-service automation.
- Perform platform configuration, including setting up notifications, schedules, UI actions, and UI pages.
- Administer ServiceNow instances, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes.
- Apply best practices in data migration, import sets, transform maps, and table schema design.
- Manage roles, permissions, and access control in the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts (including JavaScript, Glide API, Script Includes, UI Scripts, etc.) to automate processes.
- Use ServiceNow Orchestration to automate manual workflows and tasks.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Engage in daily scrum calls and collaborate with development teams to track progress and resolve issues.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solutions meet business requirements.
- Assist with ServiceNow upgrades and ensure customizations are properly migrated across instances.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and operational procedures.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and customization.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM modules.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, REST/SOAP web services, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts).
- Experience with ServiceNow configuration (UI Actions, Notifications, Reports, Service Catalogs, etc.).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Integrations, including using MID Server, Web Services, and Data Sources.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform features, configurations, and best practices.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrade processes, data migration, and import sets.
- Solid understanding of ITIL best practices and experience working in an ITSM environment.
- Hands-on experience in ServiceNow Orchestration for automating business processes is a plus.
