SSIS Developer - ETL (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled SSIS Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), data integration, ETL processes, and database development. As an SSIS Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions, ensuring data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into target systems. You will also support data processing tasks, troubleshoot software issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to integrate data across various systems.

- Create complex SSIS packages to extract data from different data sources (SQL Server, flat files, REST APIs, etc.), perform necessary transformations, and load the data into destination systems.

- Implement error-handling, logging, and debugging for SSIS packages to ensure smooth data workflows and efficient error resolution.

- Collaborate with database teams to ensure smooth integration of SSIS packages with SQL Server and other databases.

- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure high-performance data loading and transformation processes.

- Perform data validation, ensure data integrity, and assist in data quality management.

- Develop and integrate APIs to retrieve and send data between external systems and databases.

- Work on RESTful and SOAP APIs for seamless data communication across different platforms and applications.

- Assist in API troubleshooting and performance optimization as needed.

- Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues related to SSIS packages, data workflows, and other software applications.

- Provide timely support for data issues and queries from end-users, stakeholders, and partners.

- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related problems, ensuring high availability and accuracy of data.

- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code for SSIS packages, SQL queries, and APIs.

- Perform unit testing, code reviews, and integration testing to ensure the quality of the developed software.

- Ensure adherence to software development standards, best practices, and industry guidelines in all development tasks.

- Provide valuable input and suggestions for improving software development processes, tools, and methodologies.

- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and other developers to understand data requirements and propose optimal solutions.

- Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, task breakdown, and status updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for developing ETL solutions and managing complex data workflows.

- Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying SSIS packages to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading operations.

- Experience with SSIS Data Flow Tasks, Control Flow Tasks, and Data Transformations.

- Strong experience in SQL Server (2012 and above) with solid knowledge of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and Triggers.

- Proficiency in optimizing SQL queries and performance tuning for large datasets and complex ETL processes.

- Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is a plus.

- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful and SOAP APIs for data exchange between systems.

- Knowledge of API testing, security, and optimization best practices.

- Strong understanding of data integration, data modeling, data governance, and data quality management.

- Ability to perform data validation, integrity checks, and troubleshooting of data issues.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and resolving issues efficiently.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSIS package execution, SQL queries, and API integrations.

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and standards.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with proper documentation.
