Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Reports to: Managing Director / Board of Directors

Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the overall financial management of company, driving financial strategy, planning, risk management, and funding for infrastructure projects. The CFO will play a critical leadership role in enabling growth, enhancing financial discipline, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a highly competitive infrastructure landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Develop and lead financial strategies aligned with the company's growth plans in road and irrigation sectors.
- Advise the Managing Director and Board on financial performance, risk exposure, and investment opportunities.
- Lead capital structuring and optimize the use of debt and equity financing.
Project & Infrastructure Finance
- Lead project finance efforts for large-scale road and irrigation projects under EPC, HAM, or PPP models.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and government agencies for funding support.
- Ensure proper financial structuring of bids and tenders.
Financial Planning & Control
- Drive annual budgeting, long-term financial planning, and project-level cost management.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization across ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Ensure strict cost control and timely billing and collections from government agencies and clients.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage statutory, internal, and government audits, and maintain transparent financial records.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and MIS systems across functions and sites.
- Manage risks related to cost escalation, payment delays, taxation, and regulatory changes.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team across head office and project sites.
- Build systems and capabilities to support growth and transparency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory. Additional MBA (Finance) or CFA preferred.
Experience:
- 15-20 years of experience in finance and accounts, with minimum 5 years in a leadership/CFO role.
- Strong background in infrastructure, road construction, and irrigation projects.
- Demonstrated success in project financing, cost control, and government project compliance.
Technical Proficiency:
- Knowledge of Tally ERP, SAP, or similar systems.
- Strong command over tax planning, budgeting, working capital management, and tender-related financial modeling.
