Quality Head

Role & responsibilities

• Devise, establish & review company's quality procedures, standards and specifications.
• Review customer requirements and make sure they are met.
• Work with Procurement team to establish quality requirements from external suppliers of RM, PM, Chemicals, consumables etc.
• Set standards for quality of RM, in-process & FG in line with customer requirements and industry norms.
• Upgrade Quality Systems to meet out national / international quality norms and customer audit requirements.
• Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency of operations by in-process & final quality controls.
• Set up and maintain quality controls and documentation procedures as per standard.
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data, analysing them and produce statistical reports.
• Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements along with process for implementing them.
• Measure performance and identify areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards.
• Assess the effectiveness of changes made & generate reports.
• Make sure the company is working as effectively to keep up with competitors.
• Identify gaps in competence of department staff, plan & execute trainings to them to upgrade their competitiveness.

Preferred candidate profile

• Supervising Chemical Analysis, Documentation, GLP,GMP, SQC, ISO-9001 & BIS analysis procedures
• Good Communications, Co-ordination, Time Management.
• Ready to accept the Changes & challenges

Additional Skill Set

• Knowledge of Instruments Like GC, KF, Halogen, HPLC & IR Moisture Analyser, Hardness tester, Melting Point Analyser, COD & BOD Analyser.
• Knowledge of Conventional & Instrumental methods of analysis of Pesticide & fumigants.
• Knowledge of preparation of Chemical standard.
• Knowledge Calibration, standardization & Verifications of chemical and Instruments
