Position Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for leading and implementing entrepreneurship programs in schools and colleges and support with fundraising activities to ensure the Foundation achieves its mission and goals. The person will also play a crucial role in managing and executing an Incubation program in UP, efficient program delivery and ensuring the success of each cohort of the Incubation Program. The incumbent will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership of Aavishkaar Group, and external stakeholders to drive impactful programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program planning, execution and management
- Develop program strategy and implementation plan in government schools and colleges focused on entrepreneurship
- Develop an Incubation program implementation plan to support entrepreneurs in UP. Provide continued strategic guidance to entrepreneurs under the Incubation program, be responsible for screening of applications and conduct events and workshops.
- Manage program resources efficiently, including budget and personnel, and create and manage plans/trackers for effective delivery and monitoring.
- Identify and manage risks throughout the program implementation.
- Implement feedback loops for continuous improvement.
2. Advocacy and External Relations:
- Build strategic partnerships with governments, NGOs, community organizations, and private sector entities.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the Foundation's mission and goals.
3. Fundraising and Development:
- Execute a robust fundraising strategy to secure financial support from diverse sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent and effective stewardship of donor funds and reporting.
4. Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and accountability.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the Foundation's activities, impact, and financial status to the Board.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, business administration, public policy, international development).
- Minimum of 10-15 years of work experience, holding program management position in the social development sector, with a proven track record of managing complex organizations and programs.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills, a passion for startups, and the ability to create an environment that fosters collaboration and growth.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor stewardship.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team towards shared goals.
