Head - Research & Development

Responsibilities:

1. The Director R&D is responsible for leading the R&D team in Bangalore to invent, develop and commercialize new active cosmetic ingredients , innovative compounds, formulation and process technology aligned with the needs of business.

2. Manage R&D product development projects / portfolio through the R&D process.

3. Provide a responsive R&D presence for the customers.

4. Manage R&D capital and expense budgets. 15 Take leadership in outsourcing (manufacturing) of products developed and increase the revenue.

5. Liaise to implement new compounds / processes and support process optimization.

6. Develop and implement process technology improvements. Co-ordinate new compound development and scale-up.

7. Recruit, retain, supervise, develop and coach all R&D employees.

8. Annual Operating Planning and Monthly Target

- Develop, and commercialize new active cosmetic ingredients, innovative compounds and process technology aligned with the needs of KOPL business as per timeline

- Manage KOPL synthetic Centre's capital and expense budgets

- Achieve monthly cashflow

- For expenses 1) Raw Materials b) Utilities

- Manpower: Expenses & Number

- Output: Products & Tech Transfer Quantity

9. Outsourcing (manufacturing) of products developed by R&D Centre and increase the revenue.

10. To face Quarterly Audit which will give the out put the basic documents for quantity , Half yearly and Yearly appraisal

Minimum experience :

Minimum 15 - 20 years experience in a chemical industry as a researcher or technical leader with progressively increasing responsibilities.

Qualification : Doctorate in organic / general / analytical chemistry.
