Job Description
- Edit technical and business content using MS Office or other software.
- Reword information for clarity and conciseness.
- Apply the Kensium style guide requirements to templates and documents.
- Format content to ensure consistency throughout.
- Suggest and implement tables or diagrams when needed to enhance the visual representation of written content.
- Provide standard treatment and inclusion of images where needed (using tools like Snagit).
- Develop and edit material in collaboration with other departments (engineering, marketing, human resources, etc.).
- Make appropriate changes and proactively coordinate to get confirmation from the document creator.
- Apply company terminology standards including:
- Standardized acronyms
- Grammatical conventions
- Oxford comma usage
- Active vs. passive voice use
- Word choices and tense
- Contribute to the expansion of Kensium document templates for:
- Solution Design
- Configuration Guides
- Business Requirement Documents
- External Release Notes
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills.
- Strong American English grammar, word choice, punctuation, and spelling abilities.
- Ability to proofread lengthy technical documents with high diligence.
- Proven experience with technical editing, document management, editorial and/or quality assurance.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced skills with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft applications for document layout, graphics, and production.
- Visio experience preferred.
Confluence experience beneficial. - SharePoint document library experience beneficial.
