Job Description
- Are currently a Solution Architect, or full-stack developer with a handful of projects under your belt, as a technical leader, or solution architect.
- Have experience running production systems.
- Have experience designing software delivery pipelines from development to production.

- Consult with clients and lead them to the optimal technical solutions based on their needs, and business.

- Design, implement and maintain solutions that contribute to the automation of code/infrastructure changes, empowering development teams to have a seamless framework to deliver the best software.
- Maintain, enhance, and ensure good health of all software delivery processes and systems.
- Actively participate in high-level team activities such as architecture or process improvements.
- Communicate effectively and work well with cross-functional teams across geographic regions. (CRITICAL)
- Can analyze data to learn how to improve processes and systems continuously.
- Participation in pre post-sales technical scoping, requirements gathering, and solution creation review.
- Ability to bring new ideas to the client regarding strategy in engaging with customers across their digital channels.
- Align client s business needs and process workflow with Magento by understanding the customer s current state and business objectives.
- Produce the technical specifications needed to determine out of the box capabilities or if there is a need for custom development.
- Maintain technical knowledge and certifications with Magento.
- Handle day-to-day application support issues that get escalated from level 2 support, if needed or required.
- Minimum of 4+ years PHP web development experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of real-world e-commerce experience with development of plugins, apps or themes for Magento, Shopify or BigCommerce.
- Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company
- Have a Bachelor s Degree in either Informatics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Interactive Design, Instructional Systems, or related field. (PLUS)
- A keen understanding of data structures and workflow to aid clients in project scope and implementation requirements.
- Familiarity with Project Management Software (Wrike, Jira, DoneDone, SmartSheets)
- Experience of Zend Framework, Symfony, Core PHP, PHP frameworks
- Firm grasp of Git-based source control
- Competent with PHP object-oriented programming MVC applications
- Competent with MySQL-based database concepts
- Profound knowledge of web technologies (HTML/XML/PHP/JavaScript)
- Hands on knowledge and experience of working with one or more of the big three platforms i.e., Magento, BigCommerce or Shopify.
- Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer
- Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication
- A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
- Must be extremely passionate about learning new technologies implementing them
- Must take ownership and accountability for projects deliver on timelines
- Must have shown great results in academics
- Must be a smart out of the box thinker with leadership qualities
- Expert understanding of Magentos code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components (Magento Open Source and Magento Enterprise/Cloud versions 1 2)
- Expertise in authoring and extending Magento extensions
- Expertise in authoring, integration and working with APIs from BigCommerce.
- Expertise in authoring and working with integrations involving Shopify platform,
- Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationships
- Store catalog (categories / products / attributes)
- Sales orders (quotes / orders / invoices / shipments / credits)
- Experience with integration projects (e.g. API, Databases, ERP, CRM - SalesForce, Magento, Recommendation Engines, etc.)
- Familiarity with automated testing tools strategies (Selenium, New Relic)
- Familiarity with automated deployment strategies (Jenkins, Bamoboo, Bitbucket Pipelines)
- Familiarity with optimization debugging tools strategies (Memcached, Redis, Xdebug, PHPUnit)
- In-depth knowledge of PCI/PA-DSS compliance issues
- Experience in ERP integrations (Netsuite, ADP, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
- Experience with caching and scaling techniques
- Experience in multi-store, multi-lingual, or multi-currency e-commerce implementations
- Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS/LESS
- Understanding of database design.
- Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery
- Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP)
- A desire to be personally responsible for production-level code
- Ingenuity to leverage all available tools at your disposal
- Comfort working with Linux-based systems
- A passion for client success and the digital experience.
- Magento, BigCommerce and/or Shopify Certifications
- Contributions to the open-source community
