Lead Process Engineer

L&T Technology Services is hiring Lead Process Engineer in Vadodara / Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The Lead Engineer -Process Engineering shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Should understand the project needs and act accordingly
• Assign the functions to his team
• Supervise Junior Process Engineers and Trainee Process Engineers
• Supervise P&ID Designers.
• Review / comment / develop deliverables like Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, Design Basis, Process & Operational Philosophies, Heat & Mass Balance, Process data Sheets, Line list, Hydraulic calculations, etc as required for various projects.
• Review Proposal and Project PFDs and P&ID’s.
• Participate in Proposal and Project Kick-Off Meetings as required
• Participate in Proposal and Project Meetings as required.
• Assist in man-hour estimation for a project.
• Ensure timely deliverables as per schedule
• Ensure quality of deliverables and Right First Time.
• Ensure that Change request are raised time to time, as per variations in scope
• Ensure Good Engineering Practices are followed
• Ensure that Process Engineering standards and Guidelines are adhered to in the deliverables
• Ensure compliance with Regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, Regulations & Good Engineering Practices
• If required, participate in HAZOP, CHAZOP, PSM, Hazard Identification, SIL studies etc and ensure that the Process safety requirements are fully complied with.

Experience/knowledge/technical skills required:

• B Tech /M Tech or equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, from reputed institutes/Universities.
• The position requires 20+ years of experience in the Process Engineering Functions of reputed Engineering Consultants / and vendors .Working experience in the Process Engineering functions of major Chemical, Petro Chemical, Oil & Gas industries is desirable. Working experience as Project Manager, would be an added advantage

Key Technical Skills Required:

• Possess a broad understanding Process engineering and Project procedures.
• Should have worked as Lead engineer for 4 years
• Should have full understanding of Process deliverables requirements- like PFD,P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, equipment selection & sizing, material selection, hazardous area classification etc.
• Desirable to have sound knowledge on Process engineering Standards, National & International Standards, Regulatory Requirements, GMP and sanitary design standards, Process safety requirements etc
• Hands on experience with process engineering design Softwares like Hysis, HTRI, Chemcad, Promax, etc..
• Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes, and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Conceptual Studies, Feasibility studies, Operation & Maintenance manuals, plant start-up manuals is desirable but not a must.
